Considerations:    Physics is a 4th year elective science course.  It is necessary for college programs requiring physics in particular, or a 4th year of high school science.

Course Description:    Physics is the study of the interaction of matter and energy.  Major topics in physics include the study and analysis of motion, forces and wave-pattern behavior.   Math is an important part of the physics curriculum since all physics concepts are interpreted and analyzed mathematically.  Students need a working knowledge of algebra and trigonometry in order to be successful in the course.  Lab work is an intefral part of physics and is included in the grading along with daily work, quizzes and tests.
