PHYSICAL EDUCATION

1 semester Required Grades 9-12 1 credit

Individual & Team Activities
Tennis, pickle ball, football, basketball, softball, bowling, badminton, table tennis, soccer, hockey.

Strength Training
Students complete and document a printed strength program approved by the instructor.

Health & Fitness
Students participate in group fitness activities to improve health and fitness, including walking, running, aerobics, jump-rope, exercise bikes, rollerblades, . . . .

Senior Physical Education
This is a Personal Fitness Plan that is self-initiated and research based. Seniors may do this during any hour there is a Strength Training class.  Students complete a journal.  Students need Strength Training and Health/Fitness as a prerequisite.  Previous attendance problems may inhibit registration.

 

Special Needs Physical Education Helper

Meets 3rd hour, 2-4-6 days.  Phys. ed. Helpers assist and supervise Special Needs Students.

 

Physical Education is part of the school curriculum and is not related to or in conjunction with the athletic programs.
