Career and Technical Education/Multi-Occupational Training
2 Semesters, Elective, Grade 12, 4 credits
Prerequisite: Must be a senior and be employed at an approved training station. Must be passing all classes for the last semester (junior year), have acceptable attendance record, and complete CTE application and interview before May 1st.
Course Description: The course objectives center on skills needed for coping in the world of work. Topics will include human relation skills, insurance, unions, social security, first aid, job applications and interviewing skills. The emphasis will be place on how these skills will be needed by the student in the future.
Training station: An approved training station is one that has been approved by the CTE/MOC coordinator. All students enrolled in CTE must be employed at an approved station from August through May.
